Here we can see the Segovia Cathedral.
Segovia is a city in Spain, the capital of Segovia Province in the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is situated north of Madrid, 30 minutes by high speed train. The municipality counts some 55,500 inhabitants.

Segovia Cathedral is a Roman Catholic religious building in Segovia, Spain. It is located in the main square of the city, the Plaza Mayor, and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The Cathedral is in late Gothic style and replaced a building damaged in the Revolt of the Comuneros. It was built between 1525 and 1577 by Trasmeran mason Juan Gil de Hontañón, and the work was continued by his son Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón.

The building has a structure in three tall vaults and ambulatory, with fine tracery windows set, and numerous stained glass. The interior is characterized by unity of style (late Gothic), except for the dome, built around 1630 by Pedro de Brizuela. Gothic vaults rise to 33 meters high and measures 50 meters wide and 105 long. The bell tower reaches almost 90 meters. The current stone spire crowning the tower, dating from 1614, was erected after a major fire caused by a thunderstorm. The original spire, entirely Gothic, was built of american mahogany had pyramidal structure, and was the tallest tower in Spain.

I'm very happy because I received a new an a very nice postcard from Costa Rica.

My postcards ilustrate a nice view form the Reserva Biológica Bosque Nuboso Monteverde (the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve) is a Costa Rican reserve located along the Cordillera de Tilarán mountain range within the Puntarenas and Alajuela provinces. Named after the nearby town of Monteverde and founded in 1972,

- the Preserve consists of over 10,500 hectares of tropical rainforest, the reserve is visited by roughly 70,000 visitors a year.

The Preserve consists of 6 ecological zones, 90% of which are virgin forest.

An extremely high biodiversity, consisting of over

* 2,500 plant species (including the most orchid species in a single place),

* 100 species of mammals,

* 400 bird species,

* 120 reptilian and amphibian species, and thousands of insects, has drawn scientists and tourists since.

The Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla is the oldest bullring in Spain. It is the site of the annual Feria de Abril in Seville, one of the most well-known bullfighting festivals in the world.

I received a very nice postcard from Lisabon, Portugal. (is the capital city and largest city of Portugal, as well as the 9th most populous urban area in the European Union, with a population of 545,245 within its administrative limits on a land area of 84.8 km2.)

Sri Lanka Letter + Stamp

The stamp (From Sri Lanka) ilistrate 3 Langurs - is a lanky, long-tailed monkey of Haryana, with bushy eyebrows and a chin tuft. It has a small slender body with long tail and long hands. 'Langur' means 'having a long tail'. The langur is gray washed with buff or silvery shades, often with a white head, but with a black face. It has crests of hair on the head. It is found in India, Tibet, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. It lives in humid forests, mangrove swamps, and wooded country. In Haryana it is found in Kalesar forest, the Saraswati Plantation and Morni Hills.

Lifespan: It has a lifespan of about 25 years.

Diet: The Langur's main diet consists of Leaves, seeds, grain and fruit.

Size: The male weighs 9 – 15 kg, the female weighs 4 – 8 kg but in the Himalayas it grows much larger. Most of them are of a slender build, about 2 feet long with a 2 1/2 foot tail.
